Thinking about it, The seem to live to a ripe old age and nothing happens to them.
Probably because they dont do anything, they dont work, they have low stress lives.
They arent going to get killed at work or die from a heart attack or stroke from stress.
Living in New York they probably dont drive that much or often so their chances of dying from a car
accident are low.
The probably are protected by being dull and insignificant.

I am the kind of person that probably would describe music as a religion if it defined ones way of life.
Same with motor cycles with the Hells angels and other clubs the will tell you they are 1percenters.
Same with some folks and gaming.

Atheist say that atheism is not a belief.
But many atheist will give you all the reasons they dont believe
and some of them write books about them, while others quote them.
To me it sounds like an organized system of beliefs, even further it sounds like a religion.
Religion is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values.

We could be in a computer program. Richard Dawkins has alluded to that posibility.
God would be in a different universe or realm that man is not aware of.
Which to me correlates or runs parallel to the more primitive explanation of my JW youth.
God is a spirit. Man does not know about spirits.
We know how to spell spirits and debunk and redicule spirits but we dont know anything about them.
To the point that most say they dont exits, which would parallel God is a computer programer.

i'm asking this because i just weaned off of paroxetine (paxil) successfully.
i say successfully because i'm not naseous or dealing with tremors, however that's not to say everything is peachy.
i've felt within my brain something like pulses from time to time, as if my brain jumped with no rhyme or reason.
I remember it made it hard to get arroused.
Paxil.
I got dizzy from coming off it to fast.
some groups were just better, earlier in their careers.
for others they got better as they moved along.
the beatles got better and better.. but for others like rod stewart for example.

i have to admit that i do find it very very hard to believe there is no 'god' or higher intelligent power or cosmic force of some kind behind it all.
at the very last a non-personal einstein or spinoza version of god.

If you find more comfort in being an atheist, power to you.
It's not comfort I am seeking . . . it's truth. And the truth is not always comfortable.
If the bible was the indisputable bastion of truth it is claimed to be . . . then I too, would believe it with comfort.
But it's not . . . so it doesn't work for me.
I seek truth also and the truth is not always comforting.
When I get real comfortable I look for an injection of truth.
And when the truth knocks me out I look for some comfort.
A lot of people are like me.
